Supergirl, Robin, and Green Lantern headline 2026 issues, with The Flash, Batgirl, and Aquaman scheduled for 2027 releases.
Six DC Super Heroes to Headline 2026 and 2027 U.S. Mint Coin and Medal Issues
Today, Aug. 20, the United States Mint announced the next wave of characters for its Comic Art Coin and Medal Program. Collectors now have an early glimpse of the program’s next chapters, with Supergirl, Robin, Green Lantern, The Flash, Batgirl, and Aquaman slated to join the roster in 2026 and 2027.
The expansion builds on the program’s 2025 debut, which introduced Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Superman products have already been released, while designs for Batman and Wonder Woman coins and medals were unveiled a day earlier.
Launched this year, the Mint’s Comic Art Coin and Medal Program features three DC Super Heroes annually, with each design offered in multiple formats: 1/2-ounce 24K gold coins, 2.5-ounce .999 fine silver medals, 1-ounce .999 fine silver medals, and clad medals. The gold coins and 2.5-ounce silver medals are limited, while the 1-ounce silver and clad issues carry no fixed mintages.
The program opened with Superman products in July, followed by the Aug. 19 unveiling of Wonder Woman and Batman designs during the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Oklahoma City. The Wonder Woman and Batman products launch this fall.
