Latest U.S. Mint sales figures include the opening round of orders for 2026 Native American $1 Coins. This year’s dollar design depicts Oneida heroine Polly Cooper offering the Oneida Nation’s gift of corn to General George Washington, honoring the Nation’s role in aiding the Continental Army at Valley Forge.
Released Jan. 27, product options include 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags of circulating-quality dollars from either the Philadelphia or Denver Mint. Unlike prior years, 250-coin boxes were not offered. Price points for both options are notably higher — up 68.3% for the rolls and 25.1% for the bags. With fewer purchasing options and higher prices, sales were constrained compared with recent years.
Altogether, early sales of the 2026 Native American dollar totaled a combined 861,925 coins, reflecting a slower start relative to recent releases:
The 2025 dollar, honoring Mary Kawena Pukui, opened with 1,526,700 coins sold.
The 2024 dollar, commemorating the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, debuted with 1,465,875 coins sold.
The 2023 dollar, featuring Maria Tallchief and four additional dancers in a balletic pose, opened with 1,127,325 coins sold.
The 2022 dollar, depicting Ely S. Parker, a U.S. Army officer, engineer, and tribal diplomat, started with 1,690,425 coins sold.
The 2021 dollar, honoring the service of American Indians in the U.S. military, began with 1,208,400 coins sold.
